Hi, my name is Paige Williams and it is my greatest joy to be the Music Director at Atwater Community Church.
Have you ever thought about how great the gift of music is? Music is such an intricate part of our daily lives. We use it to help wake us up in the mornings, driving in the car, working out at the gym, for learning and teaching, entertainment, special events (such as weddings). Every where you go you find music. Here is one verse on what the Bible says about music.
Psalm 150
Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse. Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with trumpet sound; Praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!
Praise God! I am so glad God gave us the joy of music. What an awesome gift we can use to bring forth His glory and praise day after day. All throughout the bible, especially the Psalms, Gods people are praising His name though songs, dance, and musical instruments. Here at Atwater Community Church we continue this same praise to God. From the drums, electric guitar, piano, and bass, to the singers, congregation, and specials we are bringing forth Gods glory and praise.
God is the same yesterday today and forever. I praise Him that He never changes but is always true, always loving, always faithful, and He is always worthy of our praise. Even when we are going though our biggest struggle in life, God is greater. He is our provider our strength and our reason for living. His promises are never ending.
Psalm 59:16
But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love;
For you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
Psalm 30:11
You turned my wailing into dancing;
You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
So I invite you to come check us out, come laugh with us, sing with us, rejoice with us, love with us, worship God with us, the one who is so worthy of all our praise!
Psalm 95:6
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
